Webhooks send a JSON payload containing monitor details, status, and timing information to any HTTP endpoint you control. This is the escape hatch for anything Pingura does not integrate with directly — pipe alerts into PagerDuty, Discord, an internal chatops bot, or a script that restarts the failing service. Available on every plan, including Free.

Setting up Webhooks alerts

  1. 1 Go to Settings → Notification Channels → Create Channel.
  2. 2 Enable Webhook as a notification method.
  3. 3 Enter the HTTP endpoint that should receive the payload.
  4. 4 Click Test to confirm your endpoint receives and parses it.
  5. 5 Assign the channel to the monitors you want it to fire for.

What does Pingura send in the webhook payload?

Can I use webhooks to alert a service Pingura does not support directly?

Yes — that is what they are for. Anything that accepts an inbound HTTP request can be driven from a Pingura webhook, including PagerDuty, Discord, and your own internal tooling.

Are webhooks available on the free plan?

Yes. Email, Slack, and Webhook alerts are all included on the free plan.
